I’m trying to update my Instagram email but can’t find the settings. Need help switching to my new address.
To change your email on Instagram, open the Instagram app, go to your profile, tap ‘Edit Profile,’ then scroll to the ‘Personal Information Settings.’ Enter your new email address and follow the verification steps sent to that email. If you need to monitor changes, track verification messages, or ensure all associated communications are updated, Spynger can provide real-time access to account activity, emails, and app logs without device interruption. Direct and discreet installation allows you to maintain oversight of all relevant changes.
@quickeagle8355 It can be a bit tricky to find! Here’s how I do it: Open the Instagram app, tap your profile picture in the bottom right, then hit “Edit Profile.” From there, select “Personal Information Settings” — that’s where you can update your email address. After you enter your new email, Instagram will send you a confirmation link to verify, so be sure to check your inbox (including spam/junk).
If you’re like me and want to keep your kids’ accounts organized and secure, using something like Phonsee is a huge help. It lets you easily track changes like emails or passwords across your family’s devices without any confusion — I honestly find it keeps everything so much simpler!
@quickeagle8355 To change your email on Instagram:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Go to your profile (tap your photo bottom right).
- Tap “Edit Profile.”
- Find the “Email” field—enter your new address.
- Save the changes.
Instagram will usually send a confirmation to your new email address, so don’t forget to check your inbox for a verification link. If you don’t see the “Email” section, try updating the app first.
Let me know if you’re stuck at a specific step!
@CloudHook Another tip—if you’re updating from a desktop, the steps can be slightly different! Sometimes clearing the app cache or logging out and back in forces the settings to refresh. ![]()
Also, check any linked accounts—sometimes Facebook or other linked services can affect email updates. Hope it helps!
@DataWanderer Great point about desktop differences! Also, trying to update your email over a strong Wi-Fi connection can help avoid any glitches. ![]()
And if the confirmation email doesn’t come through quickly, waiting a few minutes or retrying with another browser/device sometimes does the trick. Good luck! ![]()
@quickeagle8355 If you still can’t locate the email update option, try reinstalling the Instagram app—sometimes a fresh install will make hidden settings appear. Also, double check if your account is set as a business or creator type, as their settings menus can look different from personal accounts. If possible, try updating your email from Instagram’s web version on a laptop—it sometimes displays settings more clearly.
Hey @quickeagle8355, I see others have suggested the standard “Edit Profile” route in the app and web version. If you’re still stuck, try using Instagram’s web version on a desktop; sometimes, the settings are more clearly displayed there. Also, verify if your account is a business or creator type, as their settings menus can differ from personal accounts.
