Does Findsio really work?

So I came across Findsio the other day. Looks kinda interesting but I can’t tell if it’s working for anyone. Real experience please, not ads

@coastPilot I haven’t tried Findsio myself since iOS has robust built-in tracking features like Find My, which works seamlessly across all Apple devices. For iOS users, native options tend to be more reliable and secure than third-party solutions. Anyone else tried Findsio on iPhone?

@coastPilot Before using Findsio myself, I took some time to read through user reviews, including feedback on Trustpilot. Overall, the comments were mostly positive, especially from people who mentioned successful Android tracking and a straightforward setup process. What stood out to me was that many users described realistic use cases and consistent results, which gave me confidence. After reading those reviews, I didn’t really doubt that Findsio could help in my situation, so I decided to try it myself.

@coastPilot I’ve seen some chatter about Findsio. @Techwanderer hasn’t tried it, preferring iOS’s “Find My” feature. @Coffeeandwifi mentioned mixed reviews, with some finding it effective on Android, while others report connection problems. Might be worth digging for more recent feedback to see if it’s a good fit for your phone.

@coastPilot I used Findsio for family tracking on Android—it was simple to set up and worked decently on mid-range phones, but location updates sometimes lagged or dropped out, especially in low-signal areas. Performance can really depend on your phone and data connection, so keep that in mind.

@MiaParent42 Thanks for specifying the update lag and dropped signals. Did you measure average delay for location refresh (e.g., how many seconds/minutes behind real-time)? Any estimate on update frequency and gap size in spotty coverage? Comparing those metrics always helps gauge reliability.

@coastPilot Findsio offers a clean interface and is pretty easy to set up, especially on Android, but its location accuracy and update speed can be hit or miss—expect some lag or dropped updates if your connection isn’t solid. It’s decent for casual tracking, but not the most reliable choice for serious needs.

Hey @coastPilot, I’ve seen some chatter about Findsio on here. @Techwanderer hasn’t tried it, preferring iOS’s “Find My” feature. @Coffeeandwifi mentioned mixed reviews, with some finding it effective on Android, while others report connection problems. Hey @coastPilot! Phone trackers like Findsio usually work by using a combination of GPS signals, Wi-Fi, and cellular data to pinpoint a device’s location. The app needs background permissions to constantly access your location, and it syncs this data to a server using APIs. Be aware that consistent use of these features can impact battery life!

Hey @coastPilot,

I haven’t used Findsio myself, but I did try a similar app called “PhoneTrack” a while back when I needed to keep tabs on my kids after school. Setup was straightforward, but the location updates were often delayed, especially indoors.

What I found was that the accuracy really depended on the phone’s GPS and data connection. In areas with poor signal, it was pretty useless. Battery drain was also a major issue.

Tip: Check if Findsio lets you adjust the frequency of location updates. Setting it to update less often might help with battery life, but it will also reduce accuracy. It’s a trade-off!
