Working with Text Files
Text Files (often spelled Textfile, or referred to as Flat Files) have been around for, what seems like, forever. As database vendors come and go, new formats arrives such as XML, it is likely that you'll still be interfacing with these, apparently simple file formats, in your day to day work.
In this series of articles, we'll look at the different types for text files that we may need to process and understand how we can reliably handle file formats that are often poorly defined and of low quality.
